Robb
Bigelow,
founder of Bigelow Legal PLLC, dedicates most of his working life to
helping people who have been discriminated against or sexually
harassed. In 1995, he moved from Michigan to Nashville to be a
Vocal Performance major at Vanderbilt's Blair School of Music, with
hopes of starring on Broadway (New York, not Nashville!). While he
still loves to sing, he ended up at Vanderbilt Law School, where he was elected
Student Body President. He loves teaching at Vanderbilt Law School, where
he is an adjunct professor, but loves his kids, Anna (21) and Peter (17),
and his fiancé, Lauren (who he proposed to on stage at the Ryman during the
Vince Gill/Amy Grant Christmas Spectacular), even more! He is the former
President of various public school Parent Teacher Organizations, a two-time
recipient of the Nashville Bar Association's President Award, the Harry
Phillips American Inn of Court and the Tennessee Bar Association Leadership
Law. Outside of work and helping others, he can be found traveling, singing in
West End UMC's Sanctuary Choir, shopping for shoes, and writing a musical.
Born
and raised in Williamson County, Lauren Wynn Moss has always had a heart
for serving her community. A local trial lawyer with Puryear, Newman &
Morton, PLLC in downtown Franklin, Lauren focuses her legal practice on civil
litigation with a focus on real estate, construction, family law, and probate.
Lauren’s connection to Williamson County runs deep, as she began her legal
journey serving as a Judicial Clerk for Williamson County Circuit Court Judges
while earning her law degree from the Nashville School of Law. Early in her
legal career, she was appointed to serve as a guardian ad litem, advocating for
the best interests of children in juvenile and family courts. Today, Lauren
continues to stay active in the legal community as a member of the John Marshall
American Inns of Court, Tennessee Bar Association, and Williamson County Bar
Association. Lauren lives in Thompson’s Station with her children, Wynnie (13)
and Mack (11). She’s passionate about giving back, including volunteering with
Room in the Inn and GraceWorks Ministries. In her spare time, she enjoys
hiking, yoga, and spending time outdoors with her family. The only time she and Robb truly disagree is
when her alma mater, the Tennessee Vols, play Vanderbilt Commodores!
WHY THEY CARE:
When asked by their friend (and Lauren's
colleague) Lee Davies to help this amazing cause, they couldn't say no!
From Lauren's work as a guardian ad litem, to Robb's helping raise money for
various schools and non-profit organizations, to volunteering (Tennessee
Justice Center, CASA, Room In the Inn, Salvation Army, and more), Robb and
Lauren truly enjoy helping others. They also recognize the
randomness of the circumstances we are born into and the overwhelming need for
empathy and humanity. They are honored to help play a small role in
supporting My Friend's House as it provides boys with transformational,
life-changing opportunities. Your donations and votes not only support their
campaign for the Mardi Gras Court, but more importantly, they help provide
stability, guidance, and hope to young men building brighter futures.
